Prototyping

Every avatar is made up of many small pieces of different shapes, colors, and sizes that are being attached to the virtual skeleton of the user which is captured by a Microsoft Kinect camera. To accomplish this, the skeleton had to feature a multitude of points evenly distributed across the body onto which the single pieces would be attached to. Since different people have limbs of different sizes, the point grid needed to be programmed in a way that it dynamically adapts to different skeleton shapes.
